STILL WAITING

It's been more than a month since my father paid his Machine Readable Visa or MRV fee, for his non-immigrant application. Until now we haven't heard anything from the US Embassy in Manila. I have tried contacting them almost everyday and always get a busy line. I was lucky to get through a week ago and spoke to one of the representatives. He gave me an easy number to contact with, so I phoned my father and gave him the number. He finally talked to one of the staffs, and the staff said she will call him back the next day for his sched, but so far no one calls him. It is so frustrating to wait for that long. Hubby is only waiting for my father to come, in order for us to decide when are we going to take a vacation to PI. I really need to visit my family this year, despite of my hectic schedule at work. My work place will only allow me to take a 10 days off from work, so probably it will be a very short vacation for me. It's better than nothing, the most important thing is to see my family after 5 years of not seeing them. My 2 nieces are both grown ups, as well as my nephew, I've been missing them so much. Missing to visit my Mom's grave, the last visit I had, was in December 2005. Praying that my father's application will be succesful, so that we can fly back together.
