Yesterday marked our 2nd wedding anniversary. First I want to thank God so much for another successful year of our marriage. For both of us with my bana it is a very important day that we need to cherish and be remembered. We stayed late in bed, I got up at 10:30 because our door bell rang. I went down stairs to see who it was, and I was amazed when I opened the door. Standing outside was a mail carrier holding 2 packages for me, the packages came from my bana. After signing the 2 registered forms, I went upstairs carrying the 2 packages while asking my bana what are the contents inside. He said I should open it to see. So I took his presents from me too and gave them to him. He was surprised coz I handed him a huge box, and he couldn't wait to open it. I let him opened his gifts first, I got him a few electronics, a new leather case for his iphone and a stylus pen for his iphone. The 2 electronic gifts I got for him are Mini Battery Extender and charger for ipod and iphone 3G. It holds 30 hours of music and video and 3 hours of talking. He likes to watch videos on his iphone and ipod, and he used up the battery so fast on his iphone since he has an internet on his iphone so the battery won't last longer. With the battery extender that I bought, his iphone battery will last longer. I also bought an alarm clock with dual dock for ipod and iphone. He does love all the presents I gave him. He said they were perfect presents, he was so busy playing his new toys that he forgot to eat his breakfast. He didn't eat until 1:00 P.M. He is a little upset because the gifts that he bought for me, didn't arrive all of them. One of the packages I got in the morning was a gift card that supposed to be a b-day present, it came late, I didn't get it until yesterday. The other package was a wedding anniversary gift, it's a chanel purse. Huh! I like it but it's kind of too big for me. I don't know if we gonna return it for exchange.
We stayed the whole morning at home, enjoying with each other's company. I'm so happy that my husband managed to take off from work on our special day. At 10 passed 5:00 p.m. we left from home to take our anniversary cake from Dasmeyer pastry. We usually order cakes from this place everytime we have our special occasion. Like our wedding and our anniversaries. After picking up the cake, we then drove to Golden to have our romantic dinner. My bana took me to Briarwood Inn, where we had a reservation at 6:30 p.m. I am in love with the place, it is good for couple who are gonna spend a romantic dinner. Most people I've seen eating there, were pairs, I haven't seen any children. On the way there, my bana already reminded me not to see the price, so I have an idea in mind that it could be a little expensive. The moment we seated, our server brought us an appetizer tray. A fresh Gulf shrimps and different kinds of crackers, with 6 different kinds of spread. After the appetizer, they brough us a salad, I am not really fond of salad, but their spinach salad was very mouth watering, I love it so much. They have 2 types of salad, they have spinach and Vinaigrette. When it comes to the main course, I ordered their Filet Mignon. A tenderloin steak served with mushed potato and steam veggies. My bana had a Prime rib, oh my it was huge. We both only ate 5 slices of our steak, because we were too full. The last course they served was a tray of dessert. They were all really delicious, I tried a little slice of cheese cake and my bana tried a slice of a banana with fried coconut coating in it. I also like their Virgin pina colada, it tasted great. I will recommend this place to my friends, you should try it, if you want to have a romantic dinner with your husband, this place is perfect.
On the way home, we stopped at King Soopers to grab something for tonight, and bought a dozen of roses for me. My bana's friend is coming for dinner tonight, and we are having a cake cutting. When we got home last night, there was a fedEx package waiting for me outside. It came from my bana again, when I opened it, another purse a Tommy hilfiger, I liked it so much more than Chanel, because it's cute and handy. He told me I still have 2 more presents that are coming, he apologised that they never came at the same time. My husband pamper me with gifts on our 2nd anniversary. To me, gifts are not important, the most I treasure is our successful marriage. My husband's unending love, and my love for him that grows even more stronger each day. Thanks God for everything.
At night in bed, he was asking me how much did I spend for all the gifts I bought for him. He felt very guilty, he was thinking that he never gave me enough. He told me that I shouldn't have bought all those electronic gifts. He doesn't want me to spend my money, and I don't like it when he stop me from buying gifts for him. So that's why I shop online with out asking him what he wants. And I got it right, coz he likes what I bought for him.
